UPDATE on JULY 14, 2020

AS OF Today, the Trump administration officially rescinded the policy requiring international students to enroll in 3 credits of in-person classes to remain in the United States this fall.

FORTUNATELY, This means that THIS effort iS no longer necessary, but a big thanks to everyone who helped spread the word!

WE at sts are continually committed—through action—to supporting our international student community and other vulnerable communities at Penn state. If you have ideas about how we can do this better, we’d love to hear from you.

List of Fall 2020 In-Person Courses

Every international student at Penn State is an integral and welcome member of our community. However, recent immigration regulations released from the U.S. government now threaten their ability to stay in the United States during this fall semester.

Per these new federal guidelines, international students will not be allowed to take a fully online course load and physically stay in the US. Currently, Penn State is planning to hold classes “in-person” in the fall, but many in-person courses are being moved online.

According to Penn State, international students must take at least one in-person course (3 credits) this fall to remain in the United States. To help our international community find those courses, we’ve curated a list of all courses that are currently listed as “In Person” on LionPATH:

Note: This list only includes general education and elective courses at University Park that require no prerequisites. This means that any student from any college is able to enroll in these courses.
